Biography

Md. Salman Rahman is an emerging academic in the field of Electrical and Electronic
Engineering, currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of EEE at North Pacific
International University of Bangladesh (NPIUB). He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in
Electrical and Electronic Engineering with a major in Power from Mymensingh Engineering
College, affiliated with the University of Dhaka. Committed to further specialization in the
energy sector, he is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nuclear Power Engineering at the
Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
Mr. Rahman has demonstrated a consistent interest in academic research, particularly in the
domains of power systems, power electronics, and sustainable energy technologies. His research
work has been published internationally, including a peer-reviewed conference paper titled
“Increasing the Accuracy and Reducing the Installation Cost of Automatic Power Factor
Correction System Using TRIAC”, published by Springer in the Proceedings in Energy series.
His academic background is further strengthened by participation in inter-departmental project
competitions, technical festivals, and international research events.
In addition to his scholarly contributions, Mr. Rahman brings practical experience to his
teaching, having served as an Energy Assessor (Electrical), where he conducted energy audits
and efficiency analyses in industrial and commercial settings. He has also undergone
comprehensive industrial training at the Training Institute for Chemical Industries (TICI),
covering key areas like electrical systems, instrumentation, control technology, and industrial
safety.
As an educator and researcher, he remains deeply engaged in fostering student development and
academic excellence. His primary fields of academic interest include power system
optimization, smart grid technology, power electronics and control, energy auditing,
instrumentation and automation, and the integration of renewable and nuclear energy
systems.
