Biography

Dr. Engr. Nazmus Sakib completed his Ph.D. in Control Systems Engineering from Gunma
University, Japan. He also earned his M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from the International
Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). His doctoral research focused on Digital Twin-Constrained
Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning for Intelligent Control and Sustainable Smart Mobility
Systems.
Dr. Sakib’s research interests lie at the intersection of control systems, sustainable smart city
technologies, and wireless communication systems. His work primarily focuses on intelligent
transportation solutions, with particular emphasis on smart mobility systems that enhance urban
sustainability through data-driven optimization and advanced control methodologies. By
integrating control theory with sustainable mobility concepts, his research aims to improve traffic
efficiency, reduce congestion, and minimize environmental impact.
In addition to his expertise in control systems and smart mobility, Dr. Sakib has a strong
background in RF and antenna engineering, stemming from his master’s research on wearable
patch antennas for wireless body area networks. He is also actively engaged in machine learning
and artificial intelligence research, with proficiency in MATLAB and related computational tools.
He has published 10 international journal articles, seven (07) international conference papers, and
has presented two (02) papers at international conferences. His ongoing research further explores
machine learning applications, with a focus on advancing AI-driven intelligent systems.
